The Nov. 5 game between No. 1 Tennessee and No. 3 Georgia on CBS was the most-watched college football game of the 2022 season, according to CBS Sports Public Relations.
The game averaged an astounding 13.059 million viewers, which was “up +122% from last year’s game.”

More from RTI: BREAKING: Tennessee Falls Four Spots In College Football Playoff Rankings
Tennessee and Georgia, with top-three rankings and the immediacy of the college football playoffs in mind, also outdrew the massive number that Tennessee and Alabama put up back in mid-October.
The Vols and Tide drew an average of 11.557 million viewers and topped out at nearly 17 million viewers.
All in all, the Tennessee Volunteers have now been in the two most-watched college football games of the entire season, both on CBS mid-afternoon broadcasts.
In addition to the television ratings, though, Tennessee is also dominating on social media. According to SkullSparks last week, Tennessee Football had more interaction on their official team account in the month of October than any other college football program. Tennessee drew 5.9 million engagements while Michigan had 3.1 million and Texas pulled in 2.4 million.
No. 5 Tennessee will host Missouri this weekend at noon ET on CBS.
