From J.J. Crawford throwing up and nodding in Alabama’s direction to Javontez Spraggins’ stuffed animal collection, there have been quite a few great viral moments from the Tennessee football team this year.
And after Saturday’s victory over No. 19 Kentucky, there’s another one to add to the list.
During the first half of the game, ESPN’s cameras followed Tennessee lineman Jerome Carvin off the field. As Carvin was trying to hype up his fellow teammates on the sideline, the 6-foot-5, 321-pounder accidentally headbutted lineman Gerald Mincey.
The only issue is that Carvin was wearing a helmet and Mincey was not.

After realizing what happened, the video shows Carvin quickly apologizing to his teammate as Mincey turned to check if any teeth were out of place. While it couldn’t have felt good in the moment, there’s a pretty good likelihood that the two had a big laugh about it afterwards.
With Tennessee starting the season with an 8-0 record, there’s no reason to think an accidental (and kind of funny) headbutt will be an obstacle down the road.
No. 3 Tennessee defeated No. 19 Kentucky by a score of 44-6 on Saturday night in Knoxville, Tennessee.
