The Wildcats are coming off of a home win over Mississippi State and an open date with the Vols coming off wins over Alabama and UT Martin.
Kentucky travels to Missouri the week following the Tennessee game while the Vols travel to Athens for a potential top five matchup with major SEC east implications.
Tennessee won last season’s matchup in Lexington— Josh Heupel’s first top 25 win at Tennessee. Heupel’s added four top 25 wins this season including the Vols first top 10 win since 2006. The second year head coach would improve to 6-4 against ranked teams at Tennessee with a win over the Wildcats.
