Tennessee and Kentucky’s Oct. 29 matchup at Neyland Stadium kicks off at 7 p.m. ET with ESPN broadcasting the game, the SEC announced Monday.
The matchup is Tennessee’s third night game of the season but first SEC night game of the year. Tennessee faced off against Ball State and Akron under the lights of Neyland Stadium but neither had the atmosphere that a sold out SEC night game will create.
ESPN’s 7 p.m. night game had the second selection amongst SEC games, meaning CBS Florida-Georgia matchup was the only game selected over Tennessee-Kentucky.

Tennessee’s ranked win over Kentucky a season ago was the first of the Josh Heupel era. The Vols survived a shootout in Lexington as Hendon Hooker threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns while their defense made a critical stop to seal the win.
The Vols have had Kentucky’s number in football, winning 34 of the last 37 meeting in the series. However, Kentucky’s won two of the last five matchups in the series including the 2020 blowout win in Neyland Stadium— the Wildcats’ first in Knoxville since 1984.
Kentucky is 5-2 (2-2 SEC) with wins over Florida and Mississippi State and losses to South Carolina and Ole Miss. Starting quarterback Will Levis missed Kentucky’s loss against South Carolina.
Other top SEC games on the final Saturday of October include Georgia-Florida, Arkansas-Auburn at noon ET on SEC Network, and Ole Miss-Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
