Star receiver Cedric Tillman, starting left tackle Gerald Mincey and linebacker Kwauze Garland are out for No. 8 Tennessee’s SEC road opener at No. 25 LSU Saturday afternoon

Tillman is missing his second straight game after undergoing “tightrope” surgery on his ankle following the Vols’ win over Akron.

With Tillman out for the second straight game, Ramel Keyton will see more snaps and Bru McCoy and Jalin Hyatt will see a bigger role.

Mincey is missing his first game of the season and has done a strong job of protecting Hendon Hooker’s blindside through the first month of the season. J.J. Crawford will start in place of the injured Mincey.

Crawford played sparingly for the injured Cade Mays a season ago. Mincey won the left tackle battle this offseason over the former junior college transfer

Garland is a reserve linebacker who is missing his fourth straight game due to injury. The Conyers, Georgia native recorded one tackle in the Vols’ season opening win over Ball State.

Kick off between Tennessee and LSU is at noon ET. Bob Wischusen, Dan Orlovsky and Kris Budden are on the call for ESPN.
