The week six AP rankings have provided some of the most movement among SEC teams in the poll since the beginning of the season.

For starters, Alabama and Georgia have once again swapped the top two spots in the country after Georgia’s narrow win over Missouri and Alabama’s strong win over Arkansas. For the first time since week two, the Tide now sits back atop the nation’s rankings.

Tennessee, who is still at No. 8 in the country, is now the third highest-ranked team in the SEC after Kentucky’s loss to Ole Miss on the road on Saturday. The Wildcats fell to No. 13 while the Rebels have climbed up to No. 9 in the poll.

In the span of just two weeks, after back-to-back losses against Texas A&M and Alabama, the Arkansas Razorbacks have fallen out of the rankings for the first time this season. Speaking of the Aggies, though, Texas A&M has also fallen out of the rankings after a loss to Mississippi State over the weekend.

As mentioned earlier, there are two newcomers to the poll in the week six rankings – including Tennessee’s next opponent. After defeating Auburn on the road on Saturday, LSU is now the final team in the AP Top 25 at No. 25.

And, lastly, Mississippi State earns a spot in the rankings on Sunday after the aforementioned victory over Texas A&M, slotting the Bulldogs at No. 23 in the poll.
