The most highly-touted commit in Tennessee’s 2023 recruiting class will be in Knoxville this weekend.
On Tuesday, five-star Tennessee quarterback commit Nico Iamaleava announced that he would be visiting for the Vols’ Top 25 clash with Florida.

More from RTI: Two Vol Commits Receive Major Boosts To Recruiting Rankings
Iamaleava commited to Tennessee back in the spring and has been the Vols’ top commit since. The Long Beach, California native is a terrific pro-style quarterback, ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the entire class by 247 Sports’ Composite rankings. Iamaleava also ranks as the No. 3 quarterback in the class and the No. 2 player from the state of California.
While he will be there to take in the sights, Iamaleava doesn’t have any big decision to make down the road. The five-star quarterback is already committed to Tennessee. The goal for Iamaleava this weekend will be face-to-face recruiting with some big-time uncommitted prospects that will also be in town for the rivalry game.
In addition to Iamaleava, Tennessee will be hosting an electric 2024 wide receiver and a talented 2024 defensive back.
On Monday, four-star 2024 wide receiver Boo Carter announced that he will be in Knoxville for the game between Tennessee and Florida this weekend. The 5-foot-10, 184-pound receiver, based out of Chattanooga, is also the No. 4 prospect from the state of Tennessee.
Four-star class of 2024 cornerback Kaleb Beasley will also be in attendance for the game this weekend. While that’s only two names for starters, there will be even more confirmed recruits on Tennessee’s campus for the marquee matchup this weekend. Which is why it is so important to have Iamaleava on the sidelines.
Nico Iamaleava is an unbelievble prospect that has the ability to catch the attention of other prospects on the scene. Unlike the most taleneted offensive and defensive linemen, Iamaleava being a quarterback immediately puts him front and center and in the spotlight.
The Vols are certainly hoping to make connections between their elite quarterback commit and other interested prospects this weekend at the game.
No. 11 Tennessee will host No. 20 Florida this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET in Neyland Stadium.
