Tennessee keeps moving up in the polls following the program’s first 3-0 start since 2016. The Vols moved up four sports in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25, lanidng at No. 12 in the coaches poll and No. 11 in the AP poll.
The Vols made quick and easy work of Akron, scoring touchdowns on six of seven drives with starters playing on their way to a 63-6 victory.
Florida outlasted South Florida, 31-28, at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to improve to 2-1 ahead of this week’s rivalry matchup. The Gators fell one spot to No. 22 in the coaches poll and two spots to No. 20 in the AP poll.

The stage is set for Tennessee’s top 20 matchup with Florida. Tennessee is pulling out all the stops for the matchup as the eyes of the college football universe fix their gaze on Knoxville.
ESPN’s College Gameday is coming to Tennessee for the first time since 2016 and the Vols are checkering Neyland Stadium for the sell out.
Josh Heupel’s second Tennessee team is the fifth highest ranked SEC team in this week’s rankings.
The Vols come in behind No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Alabama, No. 8 Kentucky and No. 10 Arkansas in the AP poll while ranking ahead of No. 16 Ole Miss, No. 20 Florida and No. 23 Texas A&M.
The same eight teams are ranked in the coaches poll but Kentucky is No. 9, Ole Miss is No. 13 and Texas A&M is No. 20.
