Tennessee will have a chance at revenge this weekend in the second straight year of the Johnny Majors Classic. After losing to Pittsburgh in Knoxville last season, the Vols will travel north on Friday to take on the Panthers this Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Josh Heupel spoke to the media for the final time this week on Thursday after speaking on Monday and participating in the SEC coaches teleconference call on Wednesday.

During his Thursday press conference, Heupel spoke quite a bit about the preparation of the team. Heupel says that as the team grows and becomes more mature in day-to-day activities, they also become much more consistent in their preparation.

“Our work habits and our preparation have been really solid this week and we’ve got to finish it the right way,” Heupel said on Thursday. “We understand what we’re getting into. This is a really good football team. They’re tough, they’re physical, they’re smart, they’re mature. We’ve got to go, not do anything extra ordinary, but do the ordinary things at a really high level.”

Heupel also spoke about individual players such as Cedric Tillman and Bru McCoy, as well as what Tennessee is going to need from those guys on the outside this Saturday.
