With Kirk Franklin gospel music ringing from the loudspeakers all morning, the Tennessee football team hit the field on Sunday for their sixth practice of fall camp.
Sunday’s practice was substantially different than the five that preceded it, though. Tennessee geared up in full pads for the first time on Sunday, which is a significant point in the off-season timeline.
Tennessee now has just over three weeks remaining until the season opener in Knoxville. Just like last season, Tennessee will be opening up on a Thursday night, with this year’s contest set for Sept. 1 against Ball State.
