The 2022 Tennessee football season is knocking on the door.
The Vols will kick off fall camp with a media day on Sunday before starting a week full of practices as the team gets back on the field. Of course, with limited viewing on the practice field, the player’s conversations with the media are a pivotal way to find out information about the team, practices, position groups, and player personnel.
Over the course of the next few weeks, each of Tennessee’s assistant coaches will have a chance to field questions from the media and provide updates during the first few stages of camp.
As mentioned previously, Sunday will kick off Tennessee’s media day.
Expect interviews from head coach Josh Heupel, defensive coordinator Tim Banks, and offensive coordinator Alex Golesh on Sunday afternoon. Additionally, eight Tennessee players will have interview sessions: QB Hendon Hooker, QB Joe Milton III, QB Tayven Jackson, WR Cedric Tillman, DB Trevon Flowers, DB Jaylen McCollough, DL Byron Young, and RB Jabari Small.
On Monday, Heupel will meet with the media after the first practice of fall camp. Quarterbacks coach Joey Halzle will meet with the media on Tuesday, and linebackers coach Brian Jean-Marie will do the same on Wednesday. Lastly, offensive line coach Glen Elarbee will speak on Thursday with no one scheduled for Friday.
Defensive line coach Rodney Garner will have his first chance to speak with the media on Monday, Aug. 8. All of the interviews mentioned will be posted to Rocky Top Insider’s YouTube account immediately following the press conference. Additionally, RTI will also have video highlights from Tennessee’s fall camp that will start on Monday.
