During a cold November night last football season, Tennessee officially revealed that the beloved V-O-L-S letters were coming back to Neyland Stadium in a video package during a timeout. Then, in June, Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White teased that not just one, but two separate V-O-L-S signs were going to enclose Neyland Stadium’s south-facing endzone.
Tennessee has officially put up one of the V-O-L-S letters as of the extended Fourth of July weekend.
The signs are black boxes with an orange canvas and solid white letters. The design that faces the outside of the stadium is the same design that is looking inside of the stadium as seen in the pictures below.
The V-O-L-S letters were a staple of Tennessee home games until they were taken down during the 1999 season.
