Tennessee officially signed four-star wing DJ Jefferson from the 2022 class on Friday. The small forward from Richardson, Texas is a dynamic and athletic wing player that has a number of versatile traits on offense.
The Minnesota Prep Academy player was originally a Tulsa commit before backing out of his NLI due to a coaching change within the program.
Tennessee and head coach Rick Barnes were able to extend Jefferson a scholarship offer on May 2 before hosting him just a few weeks later, which led directly into his commitment on Friday.
Standing at 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, the left-hander has a unique set of skills on the court. Jefferson has the ability to play perimeter basketball and has a knack for putting his head down and driving to the paint. In addition, Jefferson is smooth running in transition, both with the ball and receiving the pass.
