Kyler Kasper: Four-Star Wide Receiver Kyler Kasper Reveals Visit to Tennessee
Kasper, a wide receiver in the class of 2023, is ranked as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, Rivals, and On3. Kasper’s highest-ranking comes from Rivals, which lists him as the 11th-ranked receiver in the class and the second-ranked prospect from the state of Arizona.
According to On3 Sports’ Recruiting Prediction Machine, Tennessee is the favorite to land Kasper at 55.4 percent, followed by Oregon at 41.8 percent. 247 Sports does have one Crystal Ball prediction in for Kasper, which points to Oregon, that was made on Mar. 13. Rivals’ FutureCast forecast also has Kasper projected to land at Oregon.
Tennessee has been hot on the recruiting trail in the last few weeks. The Vols received a verbal commitment from five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava on Mar. 21, which is drastically changed the course of the Vols’ class. After his commitment, Iamaleava specifically called out Kasper and five-star receiver Carnell Tate as two players he was trying to get to Tennessee.

The Vols were able to bring in Iamaleava, Kasper, and Tate into Knoxville last weekend for a visit during Tennessee’s final spring game. While in town, all three players were able to meet up inside of the program and discuss the future.
In addition to the spring game on Saturday, Kasper was an attendee for the Vols’ home baseball game against Missouri. The crowd broke out a “We Want Kasper” chant during the game, which was very reminiscent of the student section’s “We Want Nico” chant from March at the Tennessee basketball game.
The visit and commitment from Nico Iamaleava seem to have put Tennessee in a good position for five-star wide receiver Carnell Tate. Prior to Iamaleava’s commitment, Ohio State was the overwhelming favorite to land Tate at 94.7 percent. However, as of Friday afternoon, Tennessee is now the favorite at 54.8 percent.
One of the most standout aspects of the commitment from Nico Iamaleava was his instant positioning as Tennessee’s foundational piece to its 2023 class. Now, with the commitments of four-star receiver Kyler Kasper and five-star receiver Carnell Tate on the horizon, the Vols will be hoping that their class can grow even stronger.
