Tennessee safety commit Jack Luttrell had a loaded weekend in Knoxville. The three-star prospect from Georgia was Tennessee’s first commit to the class of 2023 in July of 2021 and is now helping build one of the strongest recruiting classes in the nation.
Luttrell was a participant in the Pylon 7-on-7 tournament this weekend, a two-day competition that was held at Farragut High School. While mainly playing as a defensive back during the tournament games, the speedy safety did flip to wide receiver for a few runs here and there as well.
Lutrell also came away with an endzone interception during one of Team T.O.A.’s games on Saturday.

Tennessee Football: WATCH: Tennessee QB Commit Nico Iamaleava Is Throwing Dimes in Knoxville
By the time Sunday’s three games were over, Luttrell’s team had been crowned the champions of the tournament. Also featured on Team T.O.A was five-star Tennessee commit Nico Iamaleava and his brother Madden, who is a quarterback in the class of 2025.
While speaking with Rocky Top Insider after the tournament, Luttrell did talk about his plans for this winter. To put it simply, Luttrell just wants to be in Knoxville playing ball for the Vols.
“Just watching those guys fly around, have fun, being in that orange and white jersey,” Luttrell said in the interview about the Vols’ scrimmage on Saturday. “I mean, I’m over on the sideline and my hair is standing up because I know when December comes and bowl practices roll around, I’ll be up here for those. I’m going to early graduate in December to get up here for the bowl practices. I’m just ready to be a part of it. Something great is happening at Tennessee and it’s only going up.”
In addition to three-star Tennessee commit Jack Luttrell, RTI also spoke to five-star Tennessee commit Nico Iamaleava on Sunday, which can be found here.
