Four-star receiver and big-time Tennessee football target Devin Hyatt is making a return visit to Knoxville this weekend, Hyatt announced on his Twitter Tuesday.
Hyatt is the brother of Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt and has been a Vol target since Jalin committed to Jeremy Pruitt’s staff in July of 2019. That hasn’t changed since Josh Heupel took over as the Vols’ head coach.
Hyatt came to Knoxville for a pair of visits this fall taking in the Georgia and South Carolina game before visiting Tennessee for a junior day this January. While it can be easy to overlook the in season visits due to his brother playing on the team, Devin plays his prep football at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and is away from his family home in South Carolina.
A number of SEC foes have been after the 6-foot-2 receiver. Hyatt visited Alabama for a junior day in January and has visited both South Carolina and Georgia in March. While it was Hyatt’s first trip to Georgia and Alabama, it was the receiver’s second visit to South Carolina — which is just 13 miles from his hometown Irmo.
Hyatt ranks as a four-star recruit and the nation’s 319th best player and 49th best receiver according to the On3 consensus rankings.
The receiver isn’t the only major recruit expected to be on Tennessee’s campus this weekend for “All Vol Weekend”. Five-star quarterback commit Nico Iamaleava is returning to Knoxville for the first time since committing to Tennessee and he’ll be joined by highly-touted west coast receiver Kyler Kasper.
Tennessee currently has the No. 12 recruiting class according to the On3 consensus team rankings.
