It won’t be very long before four-star wide receiver Kyler Kasper visits the Tennessee Football program.
On Tuesday morning, Kasper revealed on Twitter that he would be heading to Knoxville this upcoming weekend. Interestingly enough, Tennessee commit and five-star quarterback prospect Nico Iamaleava will also be in town this weekend for a 7-on-7 tournament.
After Iamaleava committed to Tennessee, the five-star quarterback specifically named Kasper as one of the receivers that he was looking to bring with him.
“Carnell Tate, that’s one guy,” Iamaleava said when asked about who he has been looking at since his commitment. “And Kyler Kasper. He’s from Arizona. I’ve built a core relationship with those two. We talked about top schools and what we were looking at, and yeah, Tennessee is in their top schools. So we’ll see what kind of pull I have. But those are some guys to get right there.”
Now, head coach Josh Heupel will have the two talented players in Knoxville at the same time this weekend.

Tennessee Football: Tennessee Receivers Impressing Out Of First Spring Scrimmage
Just a few months ago in February, Kasper posted a Top 10, which included UCLA, Ohio State, Iowa, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Georgia, USC, Oregon, Arizona State, and Miami.
According to On3 Sports’ Recruiting Prediction Machine, Oregon is leading the way in the projections at 89.4 percent with no other team above six percent. Kasper is a legacy, though, with his father Kevin a former receiving great at Iowa.
Oregon was also one of Iamaleava’s top choices and one of the contenders up until his verbal commitment to Tennessee. If the Vols and Heupel can convince Kasper to join up with Iamaleava at Tennessee rather than head to Eugene, it would make for a major move in the recruiting world.
According to On3 Sports’ consensus rankings, the Gilbert, Arizona native is the third-ranked player from the state of Arizona and the 21st-ranked receiver in the class of 2023.
Kasper stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 185-pounds.
Had Kyler Kasper been in Tennessee’s 2021 receiving room, he would be tied with Grant Frerking and Jack Jancek for the tallest receivers on the team. Which is certainly something important to note. Kasper uses his size to his advantage, which allows him to make incredible plays all across the field, and primarily in the endzone. With his sheer height alone, Kasper has the ability to be a strong weapon on the outside in Alex Golesh’s offense.
