The top-ranked quarterback in the class of 2024 has set up a visit to Tennessee for this coming weekend. On Wednesday, four/five-star quarterback prospect Jadyn Davis tweeted out that he would be in Knoxville this upcoming Friday, April 1st.

Davis is currently listed as the top-ranked player in the nation and the top-ranked quarterback from 247 Sports, although, he is listed as a four-star prospect. In addition, Rivals’ recruiting services have Davis listed as a five-star prospect, the No. 1 quarterback in the country, and the fourth-ranked player in the country. Lastly, On3 Sports has Davis as a four-star prospect and the eighth-ranked quarterback in the class of 2024.
Standing at 6-foot-tall and weighing in at 185-pounds, the Charlotte, North Carolina native is currently playing ball for Providence Day School. According to 247 Sports, Davis was the varsity team’s starter during his freshman season, but that run was cut short by two games due to a broken collarbone.
Aside from the injury, though, Davis is an absolutely dynamic player with still considerable time and room to grow before he even steps foot on any campus as a freshman.
“Quick, compact release allows him to spray it around the field,” 247 Sports recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins said about Davis in late 2020. “Ball placement a strength early on in his career as he’s accurate more times than not. Uses trajectory to his advantage. Clean footwork. Likes to establish a secure base. Solid pocket presence for his age, but athletic and creative enough to keep plays alive. Can move the chains with his legs. Doesn’t put himself in many risky situations. Peers consider him a leader in the huddle.”
Vol Recruiting: Tennessee Lands In Four-Star Lineman’s Top Four
Throughout the early stages of his recruitment, Jadyn Davis has collected 23 scholarship offers according to 247. Some of his top offers include Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.
According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, it still looks to be relatively anyone’s game here early on. Georgia and Ohio State lead the predictions for Davis at 20 percent each, followed by North Carolina and South Carolina at 12.1 percent apiece.
Head coach Josh Heupel seems to be turning Tennessee into a quarterback hotspot. Since his arrival, Heupel has transformed Hendon Hooker into the SEC’s most efficient quarterback, revolutionized Tennessee’s offense with an uptempo pace, locked down four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson early into his recruitment, and just received a commitment from five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
Now, Heupel and his staff will look to Davis as potentially another great quarterback prospect with interest in the Vols. Heupel and his staff will host Jadyn Davis, the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the nation, this upcoming weekend.
