Luka Doncic Talks Hamstring Tightness & Celtics Win
Tennessee freshman Kennedy Chandler has been everywhere in the last week. The point guard was named to the All-SEC Second-Team last Tuesday before the SEC Tournament. Then, after the Vols’ SEC Championship victory on Sunday, Chandler was named to the All-SEC Tournament team and was named the SEC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
During the Vols’ three-game stretch in the tournament against Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Texas A&M, Chandler averaged 14.7 points, five assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
After the Vols’ championship showcase following the game on Sunday, NBA mega-star and Memphis Grizzlies’ forward Ja Morant gave Memphis-native Kennedy Chandler some love on Twitter.
“La brudda,” Morant said while quoting RTI’s video of Chandler receiving the SEC Tournament MVP award.

March Madness: Tennessee Cracks the AP Top Five; First Time Since 2019
On the season to this point as a whole, Chandler is 13.8 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
On Sunday night, the NCAA Tournament bracket was officially revealed, with Chandler and the Vols receiving a No. 3 seed in the South Region. A considerable amount of talk in the first 24 hours has been centered around how under-seeded Tennessee was – especially with Kentucky and Auburn coming in on the two-line. Nevertheless, the Vols are set up well in the tournament after playing their best basketball of the season in the last couple of weeks.
This isn’t the first time that Kennedy Chandler and Ja Morant have linked up on social media, though.

A year ago, Cam Payne was running pickup games in a church gym during COVID shutdown with @JaMorant and @KChandler_1.
He hadn’t played an NBA game in almost a year and a half! Now he’s out there leading the Suns to a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.
