After their win in Knoxville last Saturday, Tennessee officially ended the season with a perfect record in front of the home crowd at Thompson Boling Arena. The Vols took down Arkansas by a score of 78-74 in front of a sold-out arena.
Tennessee also had two players go through Senior Day with John Fulkerson and Brock Jancek going through the pre-game festivities with their families.
“I realized that it was my last time in TBA,” Fulkerson said after the game. “I was just trying to take it all in. I am going to miss this place and I was exciting the fans one more time and just wanted to say a big thank you. I definitely got all the tears out last year and I am proud of myself for that. I am glad that I got to enjoy this and did not get too emotional. Being out there with my family and in front of a sold-out TBA was an unreal atmosphere, also the fact that we are undefeated at home, how much Vol Nation and our fans give us energy and momentum.”
Thompson Boling Arena has given Tennessee one of the best home-court advantages in the nation this year. With wins against No. 14 Arkansas, No. 13 LSU, No. 6 Arizona, No. 4 Kentucky, and No. 3 Auburn, it’s impossible not to say that the Vols’ home court has given them a major boost.
