Tennessee Helps Create Historic Day in College Basketball

Lean Towards Tennessee (+950) To Win The SEC

College Basketball history was made on Saturday. For the first time ever, the top six teams in the AP Top 25 rankings fell on the same day.

The Tennessee Volunteers basketball team will go down in those history books as one of the teams that defeated a top-six opponent after taking down No. 3 Auburn by a score of 67 to 62 on Saturday in Knoxville.

But, again, Tennessee and Auburn were just one piece to the bigger picture on Saturday.

  • No. 1 Gonzaga – Loss at No. 23 Saint Mary’s – 67-57
  • No. 2 Arizona – Loss at Colorado – 79-63
  • No. 3 Auburn – Loss at No. 17 Tennessee – 67-62
  • No. 4 Purdue – Loss at Michigan State – 68-58
  • No. 5 Kansas – Loss at No. 10 Baylor – 80-70
  • No. 6 Kentucky – Loss at No. 18 Arkansas – 75-73

As CBS Sports eloquently pointed out on Saturday night, it seems as though March Madness season has broken through the door.
