WATCH: Barnes Discusses Tennessee’s Bounce Back Win At Missouri

Nuggets Compliment Nikola Jokic?

Tennessee basketball still hasn’t lost back-to-back games this season as the Vols bounced back from Saturday’s loss at Arkansas with an, 80-61, win at Missouri.

Kennedy Chandler was fantastic in the win, scoring a game-high 23 points on 12 shots while adding eight rebounds and six assists.

“I thought his pace was really good,” Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said. “I thought defensively he really pushed up. … I do think Kennedy was spot on with the balance in the game we need him to have.”

Victor Bailey Jr. provided a major offensive boost off the bench, scoring nine points on five-of-eight shooting while playing his most minutes in SEC play.

The senior wasn’t the only Vol to play his most minutes in SEC play as Brandon Huntley-Hatfield’s 18 minutes were his most in conference play.

The freshman played with the physicality Tennessee’s been looking for on his way to six points and six rebounds in the win.

“I thought tonight he was a force with his strength,” Barnes said. “We’ve said all along. He’s athletic, he’s got terrific hands, he knows how to move and can play in tight spaces. I thought he was really doing a good job of getting himself in position to affect the game in a lot of different ways. Not just thinking I have to have the ball to do something. His effort that he made on the rebounds. … We’re just really proud of his effort and the fact that he was locked in scouting report wise, his voice out on the court you could hear it. He gave us a good game.”

The seventh-year head coach also discussed John Fulkerson’s status, respecting Missouri and why his team has avoided upset losses.
