NFL 22/23 Season Preview: Take Chiefs To Win The AFC Championship (+400)
The Vols will be looking for revenge this Tuesday night in Knoxville. Sixteenth-ranked Tennessee will welcome in fourth-ranked Kentucky for a Top 20 showdown, a team that beat them by 28-points exactly one month prior.
On Monday afternoon, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media to preview the game.
Barnes spoke about the Vols’ disappointing trip to Lexington in January, and what his biggest takeaways from the first matchup were. In a word, Barnes has one thing that he feels can’t happen in order to not repeat January’s outcome: turnovers.
Rick Barnes began his press conference by talking about the number of turnovers the Vols had, and why inconsistent and ineffective passing led to problems staying with Kentucky on the scoreboard in Rupp Arena.
In addition, Barnes also spoke about Tennessee’s rise in player-led leadership and the tremendous impact it has had on the players after the Kentucky loss. Since that loss in Lexington, the Vols are undefeated in SEC play.
No. 16 Tennessee will host No. 4 Kentucky on Tuesday night in Thompson-Boling Arena at 9:00 p.m. ET.
