Super Bowl LVI Preview: The Line Has Been Working In The Rams Favor (-4) Vs. Bengals
For any number of reasons, Sunday’s game against UConn will be one of the biggest matchups on the Tennessee schedule. Whether it be the historic nature intertwined into the rivalry or the Top 10 contest on the court, the game between the No. 7 Lady Vols and the No. 10 Huskies will be a must-see event.
On Friday morning, Tennessee head coach Kellie Harper met with the media to discuss her thoughts on the upcoming game.
Harper spoke about the importance of the rivalry, pointing to the fact that not only is it a game that people want to see, but it’s also a game that Tennessee and UConn want to play.
“The last two years have felt like this game is a big rivalry game,” Harper said on Friday. “So I don’t know that it will feel any different with our ranking at this point. I think last year, obviously, it was extremely competitive here. Big game. A lot of eyes are going to be on the game.”

In addition to Tennessee’s upcoming matchup, Harper also talked about her former coach and founder of this Tennessee/UConn rivalry, Pat Summitt.
“I’ve thought about her a lot,” Harper said about Summitt on Friday. “Occasionally I’ll think to myself, ‘What was she doing in this situation?’. She had so much to juggle, so much to balance, and she did it with such grace. I have a lot of admiration for how she handled herself. She was a remarkable woman, a remarkable coach, and a remarkable mother.”
The Tennessee Lady Vols (19-3) will travel to Connecticut (14-4) to take on the UConn Huskies this Sunday at 12:00 noon ET.
