This upcoming weekend will be a massive recruiting weekend on Rocky Top. Tennessee will be holding its Junior Day event on Jan. 22 while bringing in some of the top 2023 talents across the country.

One of the players that will be in Knoxville for Junior Day is interior offensive lineman Paris Patterson Jr., who made his announcement on Twitter on Wednesday.

Patterson, from East St. Louis High School, is a four-star 2023 recruit according to 247 Sports Composite and Rivals. Additionally, though, Patterson also has three-star rankings from On3 Sports and 247 Sports.

While still early in his recruitment, Patterson only holds two offers so far, from Tennessee and Iowa State. However, that doesn’t mean that the four-star prospect isn’t known by other schools. According to his Twitter, Patterson will be visiting both Tennessee and Miami Ohio this weekend. And on Jan. 5, Patterson tweeted that he would be attending Alabama’s Junior Day on Jan. 29.

Patterson’s size and strength give him an advantage when playing in the trenches. According to 247 Sports, Patterson is the fourth-ranked player from the state of Illinois and the 19th-ranked interior offensive lineman prospect in the 2023 class.

Tennessee’s Junior Day will be a packed event featuring some premiere Tennessee prospects. In addition to Patterson, four-star safety prospect John Slaughter III, the fifth-ranked player from the state of Mississippi, will also be in attendance.

According to Sports Illustrated, four-star “OL Brycen Sanders out of Baylor HS in Chattanooga” will be in Knoxville, along with three-star offensive lineman Conner Lew via 247 Sports.

The Vols will also have two class of 2023 commits in Knoxville for Junior Day in four-star tight end Ethan Davis and three-star safety/wide receiver Jack Luttrell.
