The regular season for the Tennessee Volunteers football team was an interesting one from a betting perspective. With a new coach, new coordinators, and many new players leading the team, oftentimes it was difficult to project a betting direction for the Vols.
Overall, when looking at the betting information from ESPN/Caesars Sportsbook at the time of each respective game, nine of Tennessee’s games hit the over, while three hit the under.
The under only hit in the first game against Bowling Green, the showdown with No. 11 Florida in the Swamp, and the infamous game with No. 13 Ole Miss in Knoxville. In every other Tennessee game this season, the Vols were able to hit the over. In fact, in three of Tennessee’s games (TN Tech, Missouri, South Alabama), the Vols either exceeded or were within five points of the total over/under by themselves.
