Tennessee Quarterback Commit Dominates In Second Straight State Championship Win

Tennessee quarterback recruit Tayven Jackson was dominant while leading Center Grove High School to their second straight Indiana State Championship last Friday night.

Jackson now has back-to-back victories in the state championship game while appearing in three straight. As the quarterback of the Trojans’ team, Jackson has led Center Grove to 28 straight wins, going undefeated in the last two seasons.

In the state championship game on Friday night, Center Grove won a close game, but Jackson was nothing short of dominant as he commanded the offense. Jackson completed 12-of-14 passes for 157 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. While he did finish with negative three rushing yards in the game on eight rushing attempts, Jackson did punch in a touchdown with his feet in the first half.

In the championship game, which was played in Lucas-Oil Stadium, Jackson gave a shoutout to Tennessee with orange and white cleats. The cleats also had a Power T and checkerboard background on the sides.

Now, with his high school career officially in the books, quarterback Tayven Jackson is officially heading to Tennessee as a two-time undefeated State Champion and three-time participant. In addition, Jackson’s last loss on the football field was in November of 2019 in the first of his three state appearances.

Four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson is the second-highest ranked player in the 2022 Tennessee class, according to 247. Jackson is also the fifth-ranked player in the state of Indiana, and the 13th ranked quarterback in the nation.

Four-star Tennessee quarterback commit Tayven Jackson was in Knoxville in November when the Vols hosted Georgia. Before the game, Jackson met up with Tennessee legend Peyton Manning near the tunnel as the teams were warming up on the field.

The Tennessee recruiting class is currently ranked ninth in the SEC and 24th nationally, according to 247Sports.
