During Tennessee’s opening contest against Bowling Green, it was starting quarterback Joe Milton III who would score the first touchdown of the game- and of the year. The Vols’ quarterback, who is debuting in his first-ever Tennessee game, didn’t need any help on the play, either.

On the Vols opening drive of the game, Milton led the team 63 yards in 11 plays to get down to the four-yard line.

Then, Milton took a designed quarterback run up the middle for four yards and the score.

Tennessee went up 7-0 after that play. On the next possession, Tennessee would score another touchdown. This time, it was sophomore running back Jabari Small who took in the score.

The Vols are currently leading Bowling Green by a score of 14-0 after one quarter. Tennessee currently has 64 rushing yards after the first quarter. Joe Milton has 117 total yards heading into the second quarter.
