Jerry Mack And Offensive Players Discuss Fall Camp Production

As Tennessee prepares for their second scrimmage of fall camp on Tuesday, the Vols held practice on Monday, looking to get better. The running back room has become a bright spot for this football team, especially coming out of spring, when multiple players were not fully participating.

After practice, Vols’ running back coach Jerry Mack spoke with the media about the progression of his group and who he has seen step up and lead.

It’s been a busy off-season for Darnell Wright, as he lost considerable weight, getting prepared for fall camp. The highly touted lineman has moved to left tackle and seems to be enjoying the transition, after a few days of frustration. Wright has been getting reps at both left and right tackle, which will benefit the Vols this season.

As WR Jalin Hyatt enters his second season with the Vols, he’s being looked upon as one of the leaders on offense. He mentioned during the gathering how hard he’s worked on his speed and trying to become a force for this offense.

For Cedric Tillman, he’s taken his game to the next level over the past seven months. Tillman should be a weapon the Vols rely on in the red zone and pushing the ball down the field. This could be the breakout year that Cedric has been working towards.
