It was the offensive line’s turn to meet with the media on Monday, as the battle for a starting five heats up. Tennessee OL coach Glen Elarbee was first up today, as he discussed the ongoing fall camp, while also breaking down some of the standouts so far in camp.
Next up, it was OL Dayne Davis, who discussed his transition to walk-on to scholarship player, while breaking down the culture change within the Tennessee football program.
Tennessee center, Cooper Mays discussed life in the trenches and how he’s focusing on becoming a better player, while also detailing some key positions on the line of scrimmage.
Veteran OL Jerome Carvin met with the media to discuss his movement on the line of scrimmage, while battling for a starting spot. As one of the leaders of this group, Carvin has seen a change of focus within this group.
Lastly, it was OL Javontez Spraggins, who has continued to impress coaches with his strength and ability to plug into different spots on the offensive line. Spraggins will be a key contributor for the offensive line this season.
We will have continuing coverage of Fall Camp 2021, as the Vols will practice on Tuesday. Linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary will meet with the media following Tuesday’s practice, along with a handful of defensive players.
