The Vols took the field on Saturday afternoon, coming off a Friday night win and looking to take the series, with another win over the Tigers.
Tennessee got off to a hot start in the 1st inning, thanks to Drew Gilbert, Luc Lipcius and Pete Derkay, giving the Vols a 4-0 lead. Things went back and forth through the next few innings, until the Vols exploded in the 5th and 6th. Evan Russell started the scoring with a 2-RBI double to left field. In the 6th inning, Tennessee took it up a notch, thanks to a 3-run double by Drew Gilbert.
