Win and you’re in. That is the situation that the Tennessee Titans are in right now after getting manhandled by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Last week’s matchup was always going to be a tough road game but now they must win in order to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. If they win on Sunday, the Titans will claim ownership of the AFC South division and a home playoff game. Should they lose and the Colts win, the Colts would win the AFC South. They do hold the tiebreaker over the Colts so if the Colts lose and the Titans lose, the Titans would still win the division at 10-6.
Thankfully for Tennessee, their playoff hopes are not only lost on the division. They could easily make the playoffs if the Colts win and the Titans lose to the Texans. In order to get a wild card spot, the Miami Dolphins would have to lose to the Buffalo Bills. The Titans are not expected to lose this game as the Texans have been horrific of late. NFL Week 17 Injury Report
Tennessee Titans
WR AJ Brown does not often practice at this point. He will be out there despite his no shows at practice.
WR Corey Davis was added to the injury report on Wednesday but he will be out there as well. His practice on Thursday leads to a strong chance of playing in week 17.
RT Dennis Kelly did not practice on Wednesday but we would expect him to play. He has been excellent this season after struggling to win the job during training camp.
CB Adoree Jackson opened up this week with a, did not practice but he was active against the Packers. Expect him to be ready to play.
OL Roger Saffold has been banged up all season but he is getting healthy at the right time.
C Ben Jones has had an ankle injury but was limited in practice this week.
Houston Texans
LT Laremy Tunsil is a legitimate pro bowl offensive tackle. He did not practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. There is little incentive for the Titans to risk their major investment in week 17.
G Brent Qvale has a concussion. The situation is worth monitoring because getting out of concussion protocol is crucial to getting clearance to play.
