Tennessee has a need for offensive linemen in their 2021 class. The Vols currently only have a commitment from one projected offensive lineman in this cycle, but UT has several targets along the line still on their board. One of those recruits included the Vols in his trimmed-down list of top teams on Wednesday.
Yousef Mugharbil, a four-star offensive lineman who plays for Murphy High School in Murphy, North Carolina, tweeted out a graphic featuring his top seven schools on Wednesday. Tennessee was included in the group along with Florida, North Carolina, Penn State, NC State, Louisville, and Virginia Tech.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Mugharbil is the No. 259 overall prospect, No. 15 offensive guard, and No. 16 recruit in the state of North Carolina. He’s listed as both a tackle and an offensive guard.
Tennessee extended an offer to the 6-foot-4, 304-pound lineman back on March 4th of last year, becoming the first SEC school to offer him. Mugharbil visited UT’s campus for a camp in May of 2019 as well.
Right now, Mugharbil is aiming to be an early enrollee at whichever school he commits to.
Mugharbil has a good amount of versatility along the offensive line, but he might be more suited to play along the interior in college. He moves very well and can get to the second level as a run blocker very effectively. His highlight film doesn’t showcase a lot of pass blocking, but his run blocking is very good, and he has the ability to be a strong interior lineman at the next level.
Tennessee currently only holds one commitment from an offensive lineman in their 2021 class, and that’s from three-star offensive tackle Colby Smith, who also plays in North Carolina.
The Vols’ 2021 class currently ranks third in the country and No. 2 in the SEC per 247Sports. Tennessee has 23 prospects committed to them at this time.
