Kellie Harper continues to add more talent to the Lady Vols’ future roster.

On Saturday, Alabama forward Sara Puckett announced her commitment to the Lady Vols, choosing Tennessee over two dozen other scholarship offers. The 6-foot-2 forward from Muscle Shoals gives the Lady Vols their third commit of the 2021 cycle.

According to ESPN’s rankings, Puckett is the No. 62 overall prospect and No. 11 forward in the 2021 class. She holds offers from almost every program in the SEC as well as from teams like North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Old Dominion, Florida State, Clemson, and others.

Pucket picked up an offer from the Lady Vols shortly after Harper was named head coach at UT. The Alabama star added an offer from Tennessee less than two months after Harper took over the program.

The talented forward joined the Muscle Shoals varsity team in seventh grade and has been a standout ever since. She joined the 1,000-point club in high school in just her sophomore season, and she’s been named the Times Daily’s Class 4A-7A Girls Basketball Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons.

As a junior this past season, Puckett averaged 20.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while also totaling 49 blocks and 65 steals. Puckett is known for her relentless attitude and hard work ethic, and she’s an elite scorer as well.

Puckett joins five-star guard Kaiya Wynn and five-star forward Karoline Striplin as part of the Lady Vols’ 2021 class. She’s teammates with Striplin on the Alabama Southern Starz club team.
