Spring practices begin on Tuesday, March 10th for Tennessee’s football team. It will be the third set of spring practices for Jeremy Pruitt as the Vols’ head coach, and this spring will finally see his system and his practice habits fully take hold of the program. Pruitt’s first year was low on bodies and saw players have to adjust to a different practice style. Last year saw increased depth, but it was still an overall issue. Practices were more lively, but it still wasn’t Pruitt wanted and needed.
This year, that should be different, as all but a handful of players have spent over half of their UT careers or their entire UT careers in Pruitt’s system.
This spring is important for every Tennessee player, but there are a few on both offense and defense who really need to step up and impress in practices. Whether it’s because they have an opportunity to shine because someone in front of them is hurt or because they’re fighting tooth and nail for a starting job, there are several Vols who need to show what they’re made of this spring.
Here’s a look at the six players on both sides of the ball who need to impress this spring for Tennessee.
