How to Watch: Tennessee vs. Florida

Tennessee is reeling down the stretch to end the regular season while Florida comes into Saturday’s contest playing their best basketball of the season.

The Vols (15-13, 7-8 SEC) have lost two-straight games and three of their last four contests. The Gators (18-10, 10-5) are winners of four of their last five games and are sitting in third place in the SEC standings currently. The two teams couldn’t be on more dissimilar paths, as UT has gone 3-7 in their last 10 games while Florida has gone 6-2 in their last eight contets.

But if there’s one area where the Gators have struggled this season, it’s been on the road.

Florida is a combined 15-4 at home and in neutral site games, but they’re just 3-6 on the road. Tennessee is 10-5 at Thompson-Boling Arena this season, and UT is holding opponents to just 58.1 points per game in home contests this season.

Tennessee has a three-game winning streak against Florida heading into Saturday’s action, and the Vols are 47-16 all-time against the Gators in Knoxville. But Florida comes in boasting an extremely efficient offense, and sophomore guard Keyontae Johnson is averaging 22.7 points and 10 rebounds a game over his last three contests.

Vol head coach Rick Barnes and Florida head coach Mike White were hired at their respective schools in the same offseason, and Barnes’ squads have had the upper hand against White’s Gators. Barnes is 4-1 against White and Florida as Tennessee’s head coach.
