Video: Barnes, Vescovi, Others Discuss Vols’ Win vs. Arkansas

Tennessee desperately needed to find a way to win on Tuesday night when they hosted Arkansas for an SEC match-up. Not only did the Vols win, but they completely blew the Razorbacks out of the arena.

The Vols improved to 14-10 overall and 6-5 in SEC play with an emphatic 82-61 victory over Arkansas, handing the Hogs their third-straight loss. Tennessee led by 15 or more points for the entire second half after grabbing a 17-point halftime lead, and the game looked to be UT’s most complete performance of the season thus far.

Freshman point guard Santiago Vescovi had a career game, setting career-highs in points (20) and assists (8). Jordan Bowden, John Fulkerson, Yves Pons, and Olivier Nkamhoua all scored in double figures as well.

After the game, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media to discuss the Vols’ win, the health of John Fulkerson and Yves Pons, the spark from UT’s freshmen, and more. Several of his players also talked about the win and the shift in momentum.
