Tennessee signed a number of highly-rated prospects in their 2020 recruiting class. In total, the Vols brought in over a dozen recruits who received at least a four-star rating on a recruiting site, and UT’s class is headlined by elite quarterback Harrison Bailey, four-star safety Keshawn Lawrence, and four-star defensive lineman Omari Thomas.
But every year, there are some “hidden gems” in recruiting classes who weren’t rated as highly as the blue chip prospects but prove to outplay their rankings.
For the Vols, three-star safety Trevon Flowers (2018), three-star defensive lineman Darel Middleton (2019), and three-star corner Warren Burrell (2019) have already played better than their rankings would’ve suggested when they joined UT. For all the star power Tennessee’s 2020 class has, there are a few signees who aren’t rated quite as high who have the potential to make their recruiting rankings look silly.
Here’s a look at Tennessee’s five most underrated signees in their 2020 recruiting class.
