One of the more intriguing prospects left on Tennessee’s 2020 board, Dee Beckwith wants an opportunity to play both football and basketball in college. Tennessee is one of three SEC schools to offer him both as a basketball and football player, with the other two schools being Florida and Ole Miss. But Beckwith is down to three schools right now: Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky.

Beckwith is a do-it-all athlete who was named the Class 4A-7A Football Player of the Year by The Times Daily. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound athlete rushed for 1,055 yards, passed for 589 yards, and had 526 receiving yards for Florence this season. He totaled 27 touchdowns and helped lead his team to their first playoff victory in five years.

Tennessee hosted Beckwith on two unofficial visits in November, and he was on UT’s campus two other times this year. Florida is seen as the top contender for Tennessee for Beckwith’s services.

  1. Phillip Fulmer #1 best hire for Tennessee which led to the next best hire in Jeremy Pruitt. Vols are definitely heading back to a team to be reckoned with. I love what is happening at Tennessee?
