Fill Out the Defensive Line

Tennessee currently has two four-star defensive linemen committed to them in their 2020 class, but they would like to add several more.

The Vols have several defensive linemen left on their recruiting board, and not all are signing during the early signing period — such as Auburn commit Jay Hardy. But Tennessee would like to pick up a couple more D-linemen before Christmas, and there are a few who are announcing this upcoming week who UT is in a good spot with.

In-state four-star defensive end Tyler Baron, three-star defensive tackle Octavious Oxendine, and three-star defensive tackle Reginald Perry all plan to announced this week, and Tennessee is considered a finalist for all three.

If Tennessee can eventually flip Hardy, he has a spot in this class no matter what. But it’s unlikely the Vols will take the entire trio of Baron, Oxendine, and Perry if all three want in. Grabbing at least two of them is a priority, and UT needs to fill out their defensive line group in this class.
