Saturday wasn’t Tennessee’s best performance from their linebackers this season, but it definitely wasn’t a bad game by any means, either. Daniel Bituli once again was all over the field, and Henry To’o To’o made some nice plays. It was good to see Roman Harrison get his first career sack, and Quavaris Crouch tag-teamed with Deandre Johnson for a sack. Kivon Bennett also grabbed a sack and was solid for most of the game. With Ke’Shawn Vaughn missing a large chunk of the game, it would’ve been nice to see UT hold Vanderbilt to fewer rushing yards than they did, and Keyon Brooks averaged over five yards a carry. But I’m just nitpicking at this point.

Vanderbilt only rushed for 110 yards, but Keyon Brooks — who was filling in for Ke’Shawn Vaughn who left the game early due to injury — averaged 5.4 yards per carry. Jeremy Pruitt won’t like that, but his linebacker unit did do a good job of generating pressure. Roman Harrison recorded his first career sack off the edge, while Quavaris Crouch was in on a sack with DeAndre Johnson. Kivon Bennett also had a sack.
