Nathanael: A+

There’s no other grade you can give Tennessee’s running back unit other than an “A+,” in my opinion. Eric Gray had one of the best rushing performances by a UT running back in school history, amassing a true freshman record of 246 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Gray was a home run threat waiting to happen every time he touched the ball, and he showed off his explosiveness on 56 and 94-yard touchdown runs. As a team, Tennessee had about 300 rushing yards, easily their most against an SEC team this season.

Ben: A+

Eric Gray was absolutely tremendous as he broke out for the first time in his career. Gray rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns on the evening, which were the most rushing yards ever by a Tennessee true freshman. His 246 yards are the most by an SEC player all season, and his 94-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter was the second-longest rushing touchdown in program history and 10th longest in SEC history.
