Video: Pruitt, Vol Players Discuss Vols’ Comeback vs. Kentucky

For the second time in the last three weeks, Tennessee came from behind after trailing at halftime to defeat an SEC opponent.

The Vols were down 13-0 to Kentucky after the first quarter, and UT trailed 13-3 after the halfway point of the ballgame. But Tennessee’s offense was sparked to life in the second half after head coach Jeremy Pruitt switched to Jarrett Guarantano at quarterback, and Tennessee’s defense frustrated Kentucky’s offense and shut out the Wildcats in the second half.

All of that led to a 17-13 victory for the Vols in Lexington, avenging Tennessee’s 29-26 loss to the Wildcats on the road in 2017.
