Tennessee fell behind early, and the game got off to about as bad of a start as it could’ve. But the Vols showed resolve once again, and UT turned in another brilliant second half performance to come away with an SEC victory.

The Vols trailed 13-0 to Kentucky after the first quarter, but Tennessee’s defense wouldn’t allow a single point after that opening quarter. Tennessee’s offense came to life under the guidance of Jarrett Guarantano in the second half, scoring two touchdowns in the third quarter to grab a 17-13 lead they would never relinquish.
