Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
Nathanael: B
Jauan Jennings was, again, a huge play-maker. He led the team with five catches for 70 yards and looked especially impressive on a 23-yard gain and an 18-yard catch. He even ran for a touchdown, taking a wildcat snap two yards into the end zone. Dominick Wood-Anderson was used effectively, and you can thank the fact that five-star tight end Darnell Washington was visiting for the game for that. Other than those two, though, UT’s receivers didn’t really do much. Some of that was quarterback play and play-calling, but there were times where some receivers (Josh Palmer specifically on one play in particular) just didn’t make the right play.
Ben: B+
Tennessee’s receivers had a good night, but there were still some instances where they could have helped the quarterbacks out a little bit more. Still, Jauan Jennings once again had a tremendous game. Jennings caught five passes for 70 yards and rushed for a 2-yard touchdown. Marquez Callaway only had one catch, but Dominick Wood-Anderson tied his season-high with three catches.
