Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Tennessee’s receivers played well when the ball was actually delivered in their proximity. Unfortunately for them, that didn’t happen nearly as often as it should’ve. Jauan Jennings had another good performance, but his drop that resulted in an interception was a huge gaffe. He was also called for holding in the red zone in the first half. Outside of Jennings, UT’s pass catchers didn’t really get all that involved, but that wasn’t all their fault, either. Marquez Callaway and Josh Palmer both finished with one catch apiece, but both were big catches when they happened. Austin Pope had another bad drop (though it wouldn’t have counted anyway because of holding calls on the play), and I fail to see why he continues to get targets. Dominick Wood-Anderson’s role was minimal, too

Jauan Jennings led the team with six catches for 66 yards, but he also had a glaring drop that resulted in an interception. It prevented Tennessee from scoring and ultimately led to an Alabama touchdown. It would have been nice to see Marquez Callaway and Josh Palmer more involved.
