Video: Vol Players Discuss Loss to Alabama

Much to everyone’s surprise, Tennessee had Alabama feeling nervous in the fourth quarter.

The Vols had a chance to pull within one score of the No. 1 Crimson Tide halfway through the fourth quarter during Saturday’s late night contest. Tennessee trailed 28-13, and the offense had it at fourth-and-one at the goal line of Alabama.

That’s when the most “Vol Luck” thing in the world happened.

Jarrett Guarantano tried to go over the pile on a quarterback sneak, and the ball flew out of his hands into the end zone. Alabama’s Trevon Diggs scooped up the loose ball and ran 100 yards the opposite direction for a touchdown to give the Tide a 35-13 lead. That would be the final score.

Between Brian Maurer suffering another injury, questionable officiating, and some downright bad luck, Tennessee’s players had plenty to talk about after the Vols’ loss to Alabama.

  1. I use to respect Jeremy, however that has changed completely after what Isae him do to the quarterback! He should be fined, like other coaches have.

  2. so this is where we are in our snowflake society. maybe we should just play flag football due to the violent hits as well. Geez I fear for this country with such soft minded people.
