Former Vols in the NFL 10-17-19

As Tennessee’s players have hit the halfway point of the college football season, several former Vol players are playing in the NFL and working to make their mark professionally.

Here’s a look at how former Vols are performing the NFL this season so far.

Atlanta Falcons

Luke Stocker, TE — Stocker made one catch for the Falcons as Atlanta lost 34-33 to the Arizona Cardinals.

Matt Simms, QB —  Simms is currently listed on the Falcons injured reserve list.

Baltimore Ravens

Morgan Cox, LS —  The Ravens beat the Bengals 23-13, and in the win, Cox snapped the ball seven times. Baltimore will be in Seattle this weekend.

Buffalo Bills

Jason Croom, TE —  The Bills were on a bye this week and will play at home against Miami this Sunday.

Carolina Panthers

Rashaan Gaulden, DB — Gaulden registered one tackle on special teams in Carolina’s 37-26 win over Tampa Bay in London.

Michael Palardy, K — Palardy had a busy day in the Panthers, punting the ball seven times for 350 yards. He downed two punts inside the 20-yard line.

Chicago Bears

Tyler Bray, QB — Bray was cut by the Bears early last week, but he was re-signed to the practice squad late in the week. With the Bears having a bye week, Bray was back in Knoxville taking in Tennessee’s win over Mississippi State.

Cordarrelle Patterson, WR — The Bears had a bye this week and will be back in action on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Cleveland Browns

Britton Colquitt, P — Colquitt did not record a punt during the Browns’ 13-12 loss to Tampa Bay.

Dallas Cowboys

Jason Witten, TE — Witten caught five passes in the Cowboys’ 24-22 loss at the Jets. He had 57 receiving yards.

Denver Broncos

Ja’Wuan James, OL — James was not active on Sunday due to injury.

AJ Johnson, LB — In his second career start for the Broncos, A.J. Johnson had nine tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two quarterback hits in Denver’s 16-0 win over the Titans.

Detroit Lions

Justin Coleman, DB — While fellow former Tennessee corner Cam Sutton shined on Sunday Night Football, Justin Coleman showed out on Monday Night Football for the Lions. Coleman picked off Aaron Rodgers late in the fourth quarter and returned it 55 yards to set Detroit up for a field goal. He also had five tackles

Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB — In the Lions’ 23-22 loss to the Packers, Reeves-Maybin did not record any stats.

Houston Texas

Zach Fulton, OL — Fulton started at right guard for the Texans in their 31-24 win over the Colts.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Josh Dobbs, QB — Dobbs continues to back up rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew in Jacksonville. The former Tennessee star did not play in Sunday’s 13-6 loss to the Saints. Dobbs and the Jaguars will be in Cincinnati this weekend.

Kansas City Chiefs

Dustin Colquitt, P — Colquitt punted twice for Kansas City in the Chiefs’ 31-24 loss to the Texans, averaging 59.5 yards per punt. He downed one punt inside the 20-yard line.

Los Angeles Rams

John Kelly, RB — Kelly is currently on the team’s practice squad.

Minnesota Vikings

Britton Colquitt, P In the Vikings’ 38-20 win over the Eagles, Colquitt punted three times for 123 yards. He downed one punt inside the 20-yard line.

New England Patriots

Jakob Johnson, FB — Johnson started over the weekend for the Patriots in their 35-14 win over the Giants, but he was injured in the game. He has since been placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Johnson had appeared in four games, making three starts. He caught one pass for 5 yards after being signed from the practice squad when starter James Develin went on IR with a neck injury.

New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara, RB — Kamara carried the ball 11 times for 31 yards in the Saints 13-6 win over the Jaguars. He also had seven catches for 35 yards.

Colton Jumper, LB — Jumper is on injured reserve with the Saints.

Shy Tuttle, DT — Tuttle had one tackle in the Saints win.

New York Jets

Kyle Phillips, DE — In the Jets’ first win of the season over the Cowboys, Phillips had seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a quarterback hit.

Josh Malone, WR — Malone is currently on New York’s practice squad.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Ramon Foster, OL — Foster started at left guard for the Steelers in Pittsburgh’s win over the Chargers.

Cameron Sutton, DB — Sutton had a game-sealing interception for the Steelers in Pittsburgh’s 24-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. He picked Phillip Rivers’ pass off late in the fourth quarter and returned it 47 yards. Sutton also had three pass breakups and a tackle.

Daniel McCullers, DT — McCullers had one pass breakup.

Philadelphia Eagles

Derek Barnett, DE — In a 38-20 loss to the Vikings, Barnett had one tackle for a loss. The Eagles play in Dallas this weekend.

Malik Jackson, DL — Jackson is out for the season due to injury.

San Francisco 49ers

Emmanuel Moseley, DB — Moseley had one tackle in the Rams 30-7 win over the 49ers on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks

Kahlil McKenzie, OL — McKenzie is currently on the Seahawks’ practice squad.
