Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
Nathanael: A-
After a shaky start that saw both of Brian Maurer’s passes on the opening drive get dropped by his intended target, Tennessee’s pass catchers turned in another good showing. Both Marquez Callaway and Jauan Jennings had 100-yard games, becoming the first UT duo since 2012 to haul in 100 receiving yards in the same game. Both also caught a touchdown, and Jennings time and time again displayed his toughness by breaking tackles or dragging Georgia defenders for more yards. Dominick Wood-Anderson was a little disappointing in this one, but he ended up with two catches for 30 yards. It would’ve been nice to see other receivers besides Jennings and Callaway get involved, but those two were on fire.
Ben: A
Yet again, the wide receivers weren’t the problem on offense. Jauan Jennings and Marquez Callaway were both tremendous as they combined for 10 catches, 219 yards, and two touchdowns. Jennings led the way with seven catches for 114 yards and a touchdown while Callaway had three catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.
