Offensive Line
Nathanael: A
The Vols’ offensive line did exactly what it needed to against an inferior opponent: Dominate. Tennessee didn’t allow a single sack and only gave up one tackle for loss the entire game. The line did a good job opening holes and allowing the Vols’ running game to total nearly 200 combined rushing yards on 38 carries. Starting Wanya Morris, Darnell Wright, and K’Rojhn Calbert led to a winning formula, and it’ll be interesting to see if all three start against the Gators.
Ben: A
Tennessee’s offensive line performed the way it always should against an FCS team. Jeremy Pruitt, Jim Chaney, and Will Friend decided to start Darnell Wright at right guard and K’Rojhn Calbert at right tackle. It paid off in a big way, as the Vols averaged 5.1 yards per carry on 195 rushing yards. The O-line was also good in pass-pro where they did not allow a sack.
